Who knew saving all of those old t-shirts would come in handy one day? With the entire world on alert due to the Coronavirus, everyone is trying to minimize their exposure to the virus. Recently the CDC stated that using cloth masks were a viable option and could possibly help reduce the spread of the virus.
WELL GUESS WHAT! Now is the time to put those old t-shirts at the bottom of your closet to use. Turn those old or new t-shirts in to cloth face masks. Here are a few things to consider when making a face mask.
1. Make sure the material of the mask will fit snugly on your face and cover your nose and mouth.
2. Make sure you can tie the mask behind your ears.
3. The mask should still allow you to breathe comfortably.
4. The mask should also be able to be washed frequently.
5. If possibly add two layers to the shirt mask for more protection.
Remember to frequently wash your face masks (washing in the laundry machine is fine).
