You're at home with a stock pile of toilet paper, canned foods, and four different tv subscriptions. You've probably already binge watched three different series and starting on the next. But why not also use this time to focus on building your t-shirt business. We’ve compiled a short list of things we are doing right now to help our t-shirt business thrive.
1. Create a social media plan for the year.
Let's be honest… We have an abundance of time at home right now. Use this time to curate a social media plan for the year that incorporates different holidays and possibly local events in your area. You can also plan out different contests, giveaways, weekly themes and shoutouts to other businesses. There are also free templates available online to help you plan out your content. Check out Search Engine Journal for their 2020 Free Marketing Calendar Templates.
2. Create new designs and mock-ups for your website.
Now is also the perfect time to create new designs and mock-ups to add to your website and social media pages. People are still shopping and ready to add new shirts to their summer wardrobes. Capitalize on this time by focusing on new trends and also making funny shirts highlighting the weird times we are in.
Consider using an application to create mockups with real people such as PlaceIt which puts your designs on real people.
3. Freshen up your website.
This is also a great time to make updates to your website. Swap out old pictures for more recent and update pictures. Rearrange how your information is presented and make sure your website shows your business's personality. Make sure all of your links work properly. You can even record new content and add videos on your page to give a personal touch.
4. Organize and Clean.
Revitalize. Renew. Refresh. Whatever you want to call it, use this time to clean up your work area that you have been putting off for so long. Build shelving, buy organizing storage bins, and don’t forget to spray everything down with Lysol. Get fancy and redecorate your space and rearrange your work area to make it more efficient for your business. Remember, once this crisis is over, business will be booming with new opportunities so make sure you do your inventory too!
5. Reach out to customers.
With social distancing in full swing, take the time to reach out to your customers to ask them how they are doing. Don't use this call as a sales trap, but more so a time to connect with others. Take a few minutes each day to personally call your customers and check on them. A lot of families are experiencing changes in their life that they have never experienced and a friendly call may just bring a smile to their faces.
We know that there are a lot of unknowns right now, but we also know that being resilient is a key aspect of being an entrepreneur. We hope that each and every person reading this post continues to prosper and that they come out of this crisis stronger than before.
